HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWNT!!!

I happened to check the date in the bottom right of my screen and remembered that I started this blog one year ago today! It's really grown from my "Oh, I'm just going to play around in Sunlit Tides and maybe make something of it since I can't help myself." :D
I'm so happy that many of you out there have fallen in love with this story almost as much as I have. I'll keep it going as long as you out there let me know you're still enjoying it!
My last sentence brings up a good point I'd like to make: Sims 4 and what's going to happen with this story.
Personally, I'm very dissatisfied with the look of the new version. I think the sims have gone in the opposite direction than they should've gone because, to me, they look much less realistic. I'm very disappointed with EA and Maxis for that.
I'm going to continue to keep this a Sims 3 story because I shudder to think what those new "graphics" would do to Bryce, Jesse, etc.

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you continue to enjoy A Story With No Title!

    1. No worries! They're not going anywhere unless Google is evil to me. Let's hope not. :)

  3. Happy Birthday! Time sure does fly, doesn't it? It feels like Bryce and Erin just met about a week ago, lol.

I'm also in the 'not impressed with Sims 4' camp, and I know even if I do play it, my current stories will stay Sims 3.

It's been a month, dammit! LMAO! Um, little more, little less, I'm not in the mood to go and figure it out right now.

I don't know if I'll play it at all for fear that that'll only make me want to start yet ANOTHER story. :)

  4. Happy birthday to Bryce and Erin, and Jesse and Marie, and all the others! :-)

I think I will continue playing Sims 3 as well. Not planning on going Sims 4 any time soon...

      Yay!
I really didn't mean for that to be a 'down with Sims 4' rant, but I don't mind that that's how it turned out. :)

  5. Damn, Melissa beat me. I was going to make a crack about it feeling like less than a month or something ;)

I think at the moment everyone is disappointed with Sims 4. I was disappointed when they announced it, before they're released any thing other than "we're making sims 4". But that's cus I'm a die hard 3 fan (it was the same when they announced 3)

Anyway, glad to hear this will continue as long as we're here! :D I will get to carrying on our comment convos at some point. Hopefully soon *sniffs* miss you!

Anyway... Uh... Happy birthday! :D That was all I needed to say, really. Haha! I should check my Mattells, actually. That was around September... *feels like she has to make some special post for a birthday edition and panics* (lol)

    1. LOL!!!

Is it less than a month? More than a month? I've got a cold today, so my brain isn't functioning on all four cylinders hehe, and I don't wanna go and figure it out.

It was the same with me. I wasn't a big fan of 3 when it came out because I had to change my play style and I didn't like that they took out the photo album thing because that's where I'd write my stories. 3 made me go public with them. I guess that turned out okay, huh? :)
Anyway, 3 is so amazing that I couldn't think of a reason to make me want a 4. Then, I find out the big thing is EMOTIONS?! REALLY? I mean, REALLY, EA?! That's all you got? Nope. I'll stick with 3 esp since I can make my own Emotions in my poses. Besides, their emotions are great anyway.

No worries. Yes, I miss the convos, but I've also been responding slower lately with my book thing going on and constantly distracting me.

Ack! No! Don't feel like you have to. :)
I feel a little sad that I have no real idea exactly when QoD started (amazing that Marie has been with me the whole time during my storytelling). It was complicated with switching back and forth in forums before I got booted to the story forum which made me mad until they got rid of the RPG threads but that's another matter alltogether.
Anyway, do it if you wanna.

  7. Happy birthday!!! ::pops a cork::

I've already preordered s4, but will most likely continue playing s3 for awhile after s4 comes out. The only 2 things I've seen that I like about s4 is that the base game skin looks better than the base game skin for s3, and the fact that we'll be able to move rooms around. The hair actually looks worse. And it will be awhile before there's decent CC to make s4 playable. Besides that, it's highly likely that I won't be done with 10 generations of my legacy story, and I really want to finish that.

    1. I hope you didn't spend that much on the cork. >.>

I really hate the hair the most. The facial expression are a tiny bit better, but not enough to sell me on it. I don't think the base skin looks all that great. It reminds me of ts2, not that there's anything wrong with ts2, but I don't want ts4 to look like ts2. If I want ts2, I'll play that.

Yes, don't abandon your islanders! :)

  8. Happy Birthday to your story :) I was disappointed with ts4's new look at first, but I'll probably give it a try. Hopefully by then I'll have a real gaming PC or laptop so I can have ts3 and ts4. But I won't be getting it until a year or two after it's release.

    1. Thanks! :)
I doubt I'll give it a try. It's going to take A LOT to convince me, and if I ever start playing it, like you, it'll be years after its release.

  9. Haha! Happy Birthday SWNT! =) I remember when I started reading this story. I forget how long it actually took me to read, but it was one of those where I just kept hitting "Newer Post" because I just couldn't stop. LOL.

As for your Sims 3 / Sims 4 blurb, I was actually a little worried myself about when Sims 4 comes out that people would stop reading my stories because they're made with Sims 3. SO, I am excited that you and many others are going to keep your stories Sims 3 as well. Haha. I hope that doesn't sound wierdly selfish or anything, because I wasn't going for that. I was comforted in the fact that the difference in graphic quality was way different between Sims 2 and Sims 3, so even though it sucks, I understood why people stopped reading Sims 2 stories. Personally, I only watched other people play Sims 2, and I didn't particularly enjoy the way the Sims looked in it. I think Sims 3 looks way better. I won't be buying Sims 4 because I'm pretty satisfied with Sims 3. Anyway. Shutting up now. LMAO.

THANK YOU!!!! No, it doesn't sound weirdly selfish at all, and if it does, then I'm weirdly selfish too. :P
It makes me upset that someone won't read a story simply because it's done in sims2. The pictures are not what's important to me; they're fluff. Unfortunately, the world is very visually-driven, and people like to look at pictures. Don't get me wrong, I do love creating great pics, but that's hardly my focus.

Yeah, you and I both could apparently ramble on and on about this for quite a while. Just understand that I and others know how you feel. :)

  10. I love their phone conversations, so much goes on during these times, so much insight is given

into their characters and where they are with their relationship.

    1. I have fun with that, especially with Marie since she can be a much different person over the phone, driving Jesse mad because he knows that woman is in there somewhere when he sees her face-to-face. :)
