Belinda
I'm sitting here at Hurricane, the same place where I ran into that ex of Erin's, and I'm staring at the picture of my great-grandmother when I hear a familiar voice behind me.
"I didn't expect to see you here."
It's Julian, and he sounds happily surprised.
I turn and smile at him, "True. This isn't my usual Friday night spot, but I wanted something a little different today."
Tonight is karaoke night at Hurricane, and so far, the participants are terrible. That's part of what makes karaoke fun though.
Julian laughs a little and says, "This is certainly different from Bryce's bar with this junk they're trying pull off as 'music.' " He takes the bar stool next to me.
I laugh as well and ask, "Then why do we choose to come on nights like these when we know what's going to happen?"
"I suppose that's one of the great mysteries of the universe," he answers me with a smile.
I'm happy that Julian is talking to me. I'd worried that he'd avoid me like the plague after what had happened the last time I gave him a massage. I tactfully decide to leave that out of our conversation - which has lulled into an awkward pause.
I pull out my old standby. "Do you know who that woman in the picture is?"
"Yes. That's Gloria Love."
I smile as I look over at him. Not many people get that right, maybe one out of twenty, but I figure it has to do with the clientele of the joint. "Correct. She's also my great-grandmother."
"No way," he says in a state of awe. I love it when I get this reaction. "She was inducted into the hall of fame recently wasn't she?"
Wow, he really knows! My little smile turns into a big grin. "Yes. It's kinda funny because for the longest time, the world forgot about her, Then there was this sudden surge of interest in her again for no reason people can pin down. It just sorta... happened. Then people realized she'd been overlooked in history, and they put her in. My mom went in her honor," I tell him and hope I don't sound like I'm bragging. It occurs to me that he may already know everything I just told him. Oh well.
"I guess you never realize who people are and where they come from sometimes," he mentions quietly. Louder, he says, "I have a few of her old records and then a few CDs. I'd love to get my hands on some of her old phonographs."
I raise an eyebrow and ask, "Really?"
"Yes..." he lets his answer trail out in a questioning way.
"I have some. My great-grandfather ordered a hundred of all of them at one time, and of course, he never needed all of them."
He smiles, puts his hands up in a surrendering gesture, and says, "I'm not asking for you to sell them to me. I'd feel guilty especially since you're her descendant. I would like to have a listen though."
"My player needs a new needle," I say.
"Then why not bring them over to my place and I'll play them on my old Victrola," he offers.
"That would be... nifty!" I crack up laughing at the word I chose.
Pamela
Simon finally comes home, and he greets me in my favorite way. I hate him working those several-day-long shifts because I miss him like mad. This time has been especially difficult because I have news that I hope will make him happy. I didn't want to tell him over the phone.
"Hey, baby," he says in his beautifully deep voice.
"Hey, Uncle Simon!" we hear coming from the hallway before Adele bounds into the room.
Simon lets go of me so that he can hug Adele before kissing her on the cheek.
"Jer-jer ate dirt today!" she announces and then laughs at Simon's expression.
I put my forehead in my hand and say, "That child's hands are fast."
Jeremy comes toddling in, and Simon gets down on one knee to hug his son. He's so great with kids. When I first met him, he acted so tough and macho. Then when I saw him playing with Adele before one of our first dates, I was happily surprised at the more warmhearted, tender side he showed. It was so sexy. ...Still is.
Lost in my little reverie, I come back to the here and now to see that Simon has pulled out the bottle I stuck in the fridge for later and handed it to Jeremy. He's is too old for bottles, but we humor him.
And we're going to need those bottles again, I think happily.
Adele picks up Jeremy and carries him to the television so that they can watch their favorite show. I walk over to Simon and grab his hand to drag him back into the bedroom. Well, there's actually no dragging involved because he happily follows behind me, understanding my wordless suggestion with a smile.
When we get in our bedroom, he immediately wraps his arms around me and kisses me much more passionately than he did in the living room. His hands are already at the hem of my shirt in anticipation of removing it.
Maybe what I have to say can wait, I think as I unbuckle his suspenders and remove his shirt at light speed before running my greedy hands all over his chest and abs. There's one good side effect about his job, I think while he makes me stop what I'm doing so that he can remove my shirt.
We have to be fast. Adele understands that Simon and I like to be alone for a while after he gets home from a long stay at work, but she thinks we're only kissing in here. Well, we do that too.
Simon jerks my shorts and panties down roughly from where he crouches on the floor. Then he surprises me by shoving his face between my legs and circling my clit with his tongue. I cry out and grab his dreads in my fingers as I fight to remain standing.
"Oh, baby," I gasp out, "I missed... you."
He laughs a deep laugh in the back of his throat and gives me a chance to catch my breath as he works his way up my abdomen. I coyly step away and walk towards the bed. He stands up and watches me while I watch him remove his boxer shorts. His huge erection gleefully springs free from the confines of his clothing, but he doesn't give me much time to enjoy looking at him as he takes two steps over to the bed where I wait for him.
Without a word, he lifts my legs up and pushes himself into me. I cry out from the intense pleasure of finally having my husband's dick inside me. Damn, I really missed him.
He lets out a sigh as I guess he has similar thoughts running through his mind. Then he starts to rock his hips into me, pulling my legs up with him as he crouches over me. Our eyes meet for a few seconds as he slowly fucks me, and I enjoy every inch of him as he moves in and out of my wet center at an unhurried pace. In the back of my mind, I always worry when he takes it slow because of Adele and Jeremy, but I never ask him to speed up. I could never tire of this.
"Sweet Pamela," he whispers, breaking our eye contact as he closes his eyes and tilts his head back a little to take a deep breath. His tempo never falters.
I close my eyes when I feel that delicious tightening in my lower belly as my orgasm tells me of its impending arrival. Simon still doesn't speed up, and I have to breathe fast before biting hard on my lip to keep from crying out. It's only at this moment do I wish he would speed up, but I still don't ask because I know how good it will be if he doesn't.
I whimper a little when he applies more force, and I can feel him brush up against my cervix. I throw my arms back on the bed on either side of my head and moan as I continue to slowly rise up to that desired moment.
I whisper his name just before I finally climax. He whispers something I don't catch because I'm too caught up in him moving inside me at an even slower tempo as waves of pleasure rock the foundation of my universe. I'm in a state of nirvana as he thrusts himself into me over and over, saying my name and groaning softly. I love watching his mouth say my name.
I grab one of the pillows next to me so that I can scream into it before moving it aside and watching my husband as his eyes roll to the back of his head.
A whimper escapes me as I feel it happening again.
"Fuck," he whispers. "Give it up, baby." I feel him throbbing inside of me. Everything is so sensitive when I'm like this. I remember loving sex when I was pregnant with Jeremy, and I'm glad to see that, at least for now, nothing has changed. Simon's eyes meet mine and hold me prisoner as he groans, "C'mon, give The Dragon his sweet seconds."
I can't keep from crying out as I come again, and he groans as he pours himself into me, his dick thrusting so far into me that I cry out again, a little concerned.
He pulls out and lays down to kiss me. "I love you," he says quietly to me. Then, he's quiet for a second before he says in a questioning way, "Something was different though."
I work on catching my breath as I ask, "Really?"
"Yeah," he says.
When I pull back, I smile at him and say, "We're going to have a baby."
I laugh at the look on his face. He looks like he's been knocked stupid.
"Why do you act so surprised? We were trying, weren't we? You doubted your ability to knock up your woman?" I ask in a teasing voice.
His expression changes to a broad smile before he tackles me back against my pillow and kisses me passionately.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten about the massage incident :P Suuuuuure, "Come on over to my place and we'll just wind up the old Victrola" ::nudge wink::
ReplyDeleteGive The Dragon his sweet seconds? HAHAHA sorry that made me laugh. I was trying to imagine my husband saying something like that...and it just didn't work, lol.
LOL!!! To be honest, Julian really meant that in an innocent way, and then After he said it only did it occur to him that something else could happen besides playing some old records. Notice he didn't retract his statement. ;)
Delete:( Don't laugh!
Oh alright, it's funny hehe. I must've gone through three dozen different things for Simon to say there. Some of them were absolutely ridiculous, and I knew they were ridiculous when I came up with them. Ask Jazen. She was my sounding board. 'Course, she didn't hear the last one because I didn't wanna chicken out. :)
Yeah, my hubs would never say anything like that either. He's not like Simon... or Jesse (except for the sense of humor) um, or Bryce... kinda.
I think I'm really liking writing the strong silent type like Simon mostly is (tho not in bed, obviously). I'll have to do more of him sometime.
Well not the baby I was expecting, but sweet all the same.
ReplyDelete"Why do you act so surprised? We were trying, weren't we? You doubted your ability to knock up your woman?"--LMBO men. I don't think they are ever without that dumbstruck expression hearing the words I'm pregnant even when trying.
Poor poor Adele. Aunt Pam just couldn't stay quiet and she knows what those sounds are. She will be scarred for life. LOL
Julian and Belinda. I think they will take it slow and ease into a relationship. So that will leave Troy (who hasn't been seen for a while) to hook up with Lyn possibly at some point. Then everyone will be paired off. :D
At least as far as this chapter goes. :) This has been planned since the beginning ever since I made Jer-jer.
DeleteIKR! They're like 'you mean it worked?' 'you mean sex really is something other than just fun?'
Adele turned the TV up loud. She didn't wanna hear it, and she didn't want Jer-jer toddling down the hallway wondering why Daddy's hurting Mommy. lol. Scarred for life maybe but also maybe really learning what a strong sexual relationship is.
Most likely if anything happens (listen to me.... 'if'), it'll happen slowly with Julian and Belinda. Everything is still sorta awkward at this point.
(She's not that Lyn. She just looks like her a little.) NE :)
I NEED to do a backstory on Troy and Lynne. They have hooked up, and I totally flew right past them. I'm trying to pick a point in the upcoming parts of the story where I can slide in a flashback section, but I haven't pinned down the spot yet.
I like pairing people off. :)
So now you just made want to read Cutest Lil' Jazz Singer (wow, 62 chapters..., OK, well, I can manage) :-).
ReplyDeleteYay for Pamela and Simon! And quite a happy way of celebrating a pregnancy, no wonder how she DID get pregnant in the first place ;-). So hot...
Well, nifty! (writing CLJS has really brought new words into my vocabulary, and people look at me funny sometimes, wondering why I'm talking like someone 90 years ago hehe, but I guess you can understand that 'watching out and not using modern euphemisms' with aPoBE being set even earlier in time) Don't feel rushed, and don't feel like you have to. :) The chapters are for the most part short, and the beginning is old so that means I'm not happy anymore with how it's written (but I refuse to let myself go back and alter things - I guess everyone hates their old stuff), but it's still the story. There's a chapter 1-50 summary that is almost as involved as the summary I wrote for this one.
Delete:D Pamela and Simon are so happy! They've been trying for a few months now. It's not particularly easy for them with Simon's work schedule, and it finally got timed correctly to make it happen.
Pam was happy she decided to wait 'til after to tell Simon... for obvious reasons. Their love life is still very much alive, and I doubt this new baby will slow things down much either.
:)
Nifty, for sure! LOL, for some reason that word always gives me the giggles... You bet! I have to be extra-careful with my choice of words, and even then... Don't worry, I've been wanting to read it for some time now, and, nope! no summaries for me, I'm a very thorough reader ;-)
Delete:-D
It's a silly word! It always makes me giggle too. :)
DeleteThat being careful about word choice makes me stay away from historical fiction. I love reading it. In fact, my favorite kind of romance novels are the ones set in old Scotland. /shrug. :)
Well, alrighty then! I hope you like it. The latest chapter makes me sad.
EEEEEEEEE!! Psychic much?! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat was HOT! I mean, DAYMN! Simon knows what he's doing. I love that they don't worry about Adele walking in (Although Pam was clearly thinking about it the whole time), I guess her favourite show being on helped a bit, and the fact she knows they like to be alone for a while when Simon gets home.
I'm so happy that they're so happy that they're having another baby :D If Erin is pregnant too, then the babies will be twinnies!! Hehe! But, Erin telling Bryce would go a whole lot differently. I'm still anxious to know, but this little baby announcement has pushed Erins worry out of my mind a little. Only a little. I may still take you up on that FB PM badgering ;)
So... Julian and Belinda, eh? Well, we already know Julian likes Belinda, but does she like him back? I guess they hardly know each other by the sounds of it, but they have Gloria in common, and music is a great icebreaker.
I'm wondering what it is that threw our Baby Love back into the limelight suddenly? Will we ever know?
:)
It's probably the fact that our illustrious author has started writing her again...LOL
DeleteI know! When you said that on fb, it took everything I had to not confirm right away that you were right! Geez, you read me like a book. um. >.> lol.
DeleteShoot yeah Simon knows what he's doing! :) To some extent, even Simon was worried about Adele hearing which is why he was able to keep everything at a whisper (esp the F bomb). Pamela, on the other hand, really needed that pillow. She'd forgotten how much she liked it preggers, and now her body is acting more and more like that with the hormones, etc which hopefully won't bring on the morning sickness.
I'm happy you're happy that they're happy they're having a baby. (you know I had to do that!) That would be cool to have cousins that close in age! You're right, Pamela and Erin would be due right around the same time! Cheesy pregger-ladies photo op anyone? lol. I did that with my cousin and my ... aunt. They felt really cheesy at the time, but now they're a fond memory for me.
Mhm, if Erin is preggers, telling Bryce will be a whole lot different than the happy scene Pamela and Simon just shared. Well, I'm glad to have eased your mind for the time being. I don't see Erin being eager to tell Bryce that she's pregnant if she's pregnant right off the bat either. It could be months... >:)
Yup. We can guess with relative certainty that Julian might have a thing for Belinda. We have no real idea if Belinda thinks about Julian like that at all. This'll be interesting. They really don't know each other well. They've really only spoken while at Bryce's bar or at the spa. Funny, but once he found out Belinda worked at the spa after his daughter Forced him to go, he wants to go more often. hehe.
Yup. Love of good music in common. ;)
Something causes Baby to disappear from the super-scrutinizing public eye for a while, and that's all I'll say which is really saying nothing even if I have to be careful around you because you're too good a guesser! :P
Heya, Karleen! What'd'ya mean started writing her again? hehe. Really, it was that scene with Eric's parents and then figuring out how I was gonna do all those other stops on her tour before Christmas that had me stop and pause. Now that that's figured out, that thing will write itself! In fact, another one is coming out today.
:)
In reply to your reply on Zhippidys comment: You know you can choose the gender, right? I assume you'll be using the pregnancy controller? (By CMO, maybe? I can't remember right now. Over at simlogical I think, maybe MTS too) That way you can pause and keep the bump(s) at set stages and choose when they're born and what gender, and even if it's twins/triplets (I'm sure you knew all that already. I sound like an advert...)
DeletePahaaa! Sorry! When you didn't go "Pam? Where's you get that idea from?" I knew I was right ;D I'm a detective, but shh, it's top secret! I only work in a factory as part of my disguise, honest! ;)
I suppose they're used to keeping quiet. They have a son, and Adele practically lives there too... OH! I can't wait for Adeles reaction to a new cousin! I just know she'll be SO excited! :D
Haha! I can't carry that one on, or it wouldn't make sense. I kinda hoped you would when I realised I'd wrote it like that.
Hehe! Photos like that are cheesy, but cute. It's a fun thing to look back on. When I was about 12, and my sister was 10, we agreed that when we were grown up we'd make sure we got pregnant at the same time. Haha, the odd things we decide as children... :|
No, Erin wouldn't tell Bryce right away, because she'd want to keep her space and independance as long as possible. But, she'd do a test fairly soon, so we'll know which is fine :)
Hehe! Surely Belinda is closer in age to his daughter (I want to say Maggie?) than him? I suppose it doesn't matter, but I was wondering what his daughter would think if they started dating. I guess I'm jumping the gun a bit. You clearly said in an earlier comment "IF".
Ah, I think you confirmed my suspicions :) I got this *feeling* a couple of chapters ago (this is re:CLJS, btw). I guess I'll have to see if I'm right :D
Karleen, I really LOLed at your comment. I did wonder if that was a little inside joke to the CLJS readers about the writers block being over ;)
LOL Yes, I know. If nothing else the watermelon/apple thing. I can always go into CAS too if it comes down to that. I was messing around. I'll probably have to use the preg mod when it comes to middle trimester time to when the baby is born.
Deleteno comment ;)
They have much more practice at being quiet, yes, because they don't want to wake Jeremy. I'm positive Adele will be thrilled. :D
Oh good. You know how that gets.
Speaking of things we decide as children... my youngest, 4, has decided what kind of wedding she's going to have, how many kids, what pets, where she'll live, and who's she's marrying. It's a boy in my 14 yr old's scout troop who's 16. She adores him, and he tolerates it. I worry when the day comes that he gets a girlfriend, etc. Seriously, 4?! And decided all that stuff already?
What would really be freaky is if all that actually happens. The romantic in me thinks soulmates. Then I shake my head and get a dose of reality.
Precisely. She'd likely hold out until she started showing unless Bryce bugs her about what's bothering her. 'Cause he noticed her mood, but he was distracted by what he wanted, so he let it rest... for now. (then)
I haven't really pinned down Belinda's age. She's younger than Jesse, Bryce, Lynne, and Troy. I think I put her and Ginger in the 21-24 range. I'll make like (yes) Maggie's about 16. So... um. possibly 5 years older than his daughter. Age is a number, right? <:)
Okay, now I have no idea what you're talking about. How could you have guessed something, and now I want to know what you've guessed. You're going to make me reread my chapters before the Darren one since I'm assuming it wasn't that one.
Lots of little inside jokes for CLJS readers in this chapter. I love love love doing that. :)
Right. Hate how roood I've been over the past month or so. Working 12 hours a week extra at the moment and realising just how few hours there are in the day...
DeleteLOL! Your 4 year old sounds like an organised little woman! What does her future husband think of the whole thing? Does he know all the details? You'll have to make a note of all the weird stuff she says and read it at her 18th birthday. That's what my parents did. I don't remember any of them, it was obviously too traumatic ;)
It would be very cute and amazing if all her plans actually happen! But, yeah, reality says that's very unlikely.
I think Bryce would get it out of her in a future serious conversation. They've not had one for a few days, must be about time for another ;) But, still. Glad we'll know when Erin knows!
Yeah, age is just a number, just that women in their early 20's aren't generally attracted to men who are mid-late 30s, which is what we can assume our friend Mr. Strong is, given the age of his daughter and the average age to have a child. Still possible, though!
Oh, no, you never hinted at anything! Don't worry. My mind adds stuff to the stories that aren't there, so the chances of me being right are extremely slim, but if I am right then wow. Can't wait to find out ;)
Hehe. Like a present for reading more than one of your stories :D
If you've been that way, so have I as I've left this reality for that of my book. So, don't worry about it. :)
DeleteShe is! It's so funny/cute to listen to her.
Mhm, a serious conversation is definitely on the horizon. Bryce has a lot of worries, so he's distracted by his own more than anything else.
Julian is in his 40s.... >.>
Okay, good. It's just you're right quite often.
:)
Belinda's moment was cute :) She should be proud. How fortunate that Julian likes the music, it gives them a reason to talk more :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for a new baby, Pamela and Simon ^_^
I really like Belinda. In some ways, she's a bit naive. In others, not so much. She is proud of her family. I really should bring them into the story sometime, but that might give too much of CLJS away.... :)
DeleteYes, now they've found something they have in common. Julian's happy.
I hope it's a girl. :D
I really love how the title has two meanings. One, in reference to great-grandma Gloria, and second in reference to the coming baby for Pamela and Simon. Very clever and so sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteBelinda is a sweetheart. I hope that things go well (even if it's just friendship-wise) between her and Julian.
And WOW, what a way for Simon to come home. :D
Thanks! When trying to pick a title, I giggled and clapped my hands like a little girl when this came to me.
DeleteSo weird thinking of great-grandma Gloria when in CLJS she's 18. hehe.
She's a very sensitive, caring person, and it worried her that Julian might avoid her after what happened.
:D Oh yeah. hehe
When I saw the title of this, I was like Gloria? LOL, and then I thought, oh did Erin tell Bryce she might be pregnant? ROFL. I still think it's so weird that Gloria had great-grandchildren, but then I'm like, duh, Gloria lived in the 1920s. =D
ReplyDeleteHehe, that's exactly what you were supposed to think! :D
DeleteExactly! She's so young in CLJS that it feels very strange to think of her as a passed great-grandmother. She's be 103 if she were still alive. (ykwim)
:)
Oh oh oh, I LOVE this family!
ReplyDeleteAsk me why, I don't know, since they aren't in the picture that often, but I really do!
And Baba... I mean BABAY, baby!!!! This is so cute!!!
LOL, I'd say he's perfectly capable of knocking up his woman. And with his rein of motion, trying is always fun. Go Simon!!!
:D
DeleteI really love them too. They compliment each other so well, and they make fantastic parents. She's so bubbly and he's so steady, and they bring out the opposite in each other.
LOL! I had so much fun coming up with what she'd say to him. I didn't have to think long because it just came to me.
Oh yeah baby, he knows his way around the bedroom. :)
Aw, sweet, I'm happy for Pamela and Simon, they are a great couple.
ReplyDeleteHaving a little baby is going to be different for me. Who knows if I'll ever get the thing past larval stage with the slow rate this sucker moves? lol. If it gets born at all!
DeleteWell, I Do wanna get to teen Adele stuff so there ya go. :)
I love the double meaning of the title "Baby Love" how cute! Aw young love! sorry it took me so long to comment Ugh I've been working on my story/100 baby challenge, WHOO! I actually have several updates up already!
ReplyDeleteokay back to the chapter I present to you the evolution of my face throughout this chapter

Thanks! Don't worry about it. You see how long it took me to respond to comments on this one! I've been out of this reality for the one in my book.
Deletefunny faces!
Cool! I'll get to reading it when I can so that I can absorb myself into it. :)
Belinda is Gloria's great-grandma? wow! I do see the resemblance though. Aw congrats to Pam and Simon, now Jeremy can have a little brother or sister.
ReplyDeleteLol I JUST saw my mistake, I meant grand-daughter.
DeleteI didn't catch it at first! LOL! I used Gloria as a base when I was making Bryce's friends.
DeleteJeremy is going to be a fantastic big brother. I can just see it. :)
I was worried there for a second when I read the title but it's good to see that this baby was planned and very much being looked forward to already! Hopefully, if Erin is pregnant, they'll be just as excited.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Belinda's and Julian's date. Hehe.
LOL! I loved doing that what with the way Erin's freaking out right now. :D
DeleteOh? What makes you think of it as a "date"? Hm? hehehehehe
Oh, good! I'm so glad Julian didn't hold onto his embarrassment around Belinda. Even happier those two have plans to 'meet up' later on. Julian deserves a reward for what Sean did to him.
ReplyDeleteBaybeez! Well, if nothing else, it'll get Erin thinking when news gets out.
Yeah, he decided to play like it never happened. Julian does deserve a reward. :)
DeleteYou nailed it! That, and when they all find out about Ginger and Desmond's engagement...
